About Wild Care

Wild Care (formally Wildcare Community Dragons) is a dedicated non-profit wildlife rescue and rehabilitation service operating throughout the Canberra region, ACT. It's a compassionate organisation focused on caring for injured, orphaned, and displaced native Australian wildlife, from tiny birds to larger marsupials.

Wild Care provides urgent care, rehabilitation, and release services for a diverse range of native animals. Beyond direct rescue, Wild Care actively engages in community education through presentations, fostering understanding and respect for Australia's unique biodiversity and promoting responsible wildlife interaction. Their mission extends to preventing further harm and ensuring native animals have the best chance at recovery.

Families with a passion for nature and wildlife conservation will find Wild Care deeply inspiring. While not a traditional public venue for casual visits, supporting Wild Care offers a tangible way to educate children about local fauna and the importance of compassionate care. For older kids, it provides a meaningful opportunity to learn about wildlife rehabilitation efforts. Mums who want to instill values of environmental stewardship and empathy in their children will appreciate Wild Care's vital work in protecting Canberra's precious native animals.
