These workshops are designed to teach practical skills in a safe, fun, and supportive environment. • Family Tips:  These are hands-on workshops, so make sure your child wears clothes that can get a little messy. It’s perfect for kids aged 5–12.

Does your child love telling stories and drawing characters? The Powerhouse Museum is hosting a special Creative Studio for budding illustrators and storytellers. This multi-day workshop allows kids to dive deep into the world of comic design, learning from industry experts to develop their own characters and narratives.

Why You’ll Love It:  Held at the state-of-the-art PHIVE building in Parramatta, it’s an inspiring setting for kids to collaborate and bring their imaginative ideas to life. It’s a brilliant opportunity to learn real-world creative skills in a world-class facility.

• Family Tips:  This workshop is best suited for kids aged 11-17 with a passion for drawing and storytelling. Pack a snack and a water bottle for the session.

Let your child’s inner artist shine at The Art Studio in Maroubra. These school holiday workshops are all about creative expression, whether it’s sculpting a quirky clay mouse or painting a vibrant beach scene. The studio offers a variety of themed sessions tailored to different age groups, ensuring every child finds something to love.

Why You’ll Love It:  With the beautiful backdrop of Maroubra Beach, the studio is a truly inspiring place. The full-day creative workshops include two different activities, giving kids a wonderfully diverse artistic experience.

• Family Tips:  Aprons are provided, but dress for mess! The full-day program includes a lunch break at the park, so pack a healthy lunch and a hat. Perfect for ages 5–15.

Turn your little one into a mini-masterchef at Sydney Cooking School. These hands-on classes are designed just for kids, teaching them how to create delicious dishes from scratch in a fun and safe kitchen environment. From savoury snacks to sweet treats, they’ll learn valuable skills and the joy of cooking.

Why You’ll Love It:  It’s a recipe for fun and confidence! Kids love the sense of achievement that comes from preparing their own food, and they’ll get to eat their delicious creations at the end of the class. It’s a life skill wrapped in a super enjoyable activity.

• Family Tips:  Classes are small and book out quickly, so get in early! They cater to different age groups, from 6-9 year-olds to teens, so you can find the perfect fit for your child.

Welcome to the future! At a STEMLOOK Robot Engineers Camp, curious kids can dive into the exciting world of robotics. Using LEGO®, they’ll design, build, and program their very own robots to complete fun challenges. It’s a brilliant, hands-on introduction to coding, engineering, and physics.

Why You’ll Love It:  This camp cleverly disguises learning as play. Kids are so engaged in building and programming their robots that they don’t even realise they’re mastering complex STEM concepts. It’s perfect for nurturing problem-solving skills and resilience.

•  Ticket Information:  A full-day camp is approximately $129.

• Family Tips:  This camp is designed for kids in school years 3 to 7. Children will need to bring their own laptop to participate in the coding elements.

Roar into the school holidays with a day of prehistoric fun at Bricks 4 Kidz. In the Jurassic Brick Land workshop, kids use LEGO® bricks to create a world of dinosaurs and adventure. Guided by experienced instructors, children will build everything from a mighty T-Rex to a swooping Pterodactyl.

Why You’ll Love It:  It combines two things kids absolutely love: LEGO® and dinosaurs! The themed builds are super engaging and provide a fantastic outlet for creativity and fine-motor skills, all while having a blast in a fun, social environment.
